Being a Naturist Isn’t Sexual

There’s something therapeutic about nudity … Take away the Gucci or Levi’s and we’re all the same.
KEVIN BACON, Style Magazine, 1999

Hear me out! With my dreams of traveling and living a minimalist life, there are some things that I want to experience with random people that share the same interests as myself.

Nudity, to most, is considered a sexual act. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Naturism isn’t for everyone and that’s okay! If it isn’t for you, don’t judge others for living a life that they love. Obviously, a normal life consists of wearing clothing items and covering your “private” parts. The sight of a female’s breasts, a vagina, or a penis is considered taboo in most places. Why? We’re born nude.

Maybe some people are concerned with the image of their pubic hair, or lack there of. Some males are worried that they’re not a “shower” and will be laughed at. Bottom line, getting in your birthday suit with people who have the same interests as you, NO ONE is going to judge you for anything! Nudity is completely natural and freeing. Laying out by the pool, walking around in the grass with friends, taking a hike, swimming in a pool, whatever it may be. Feeling the sun on all of your skin and living naked is a surreal experience. You’re able to walk around with no judgement of your cheap or expensive clothing; everyone is wearing the same outfit.

One of my first stops during my travels is going to be my first nudist resort! Living by myself, I’ve been able to live a somewhat nudist lifestyle but something has been missing. OTHERS! I want to meet other people who have the same interests as myself. Being naked around non-nudists can be somewhat awkward for both parties. It would be a new and amazing experience to be nude with fellow nudists. Sitting out by the fire and getting to know new people while completely bare from clothing is something that I never thought I would be able to experience. I have ONE LIFE and I refuse to just sit back and let it pass me by.

I plan on making this trip coming soon; whether I have the RV or not; the campsite is only about three hours from me. If it’s something that I enjoy, which I’m almost positive I will, I’ll be heading back at the start of my adventure!
